How to Serve Babić Wine Properly?

Quality wine deserves to be served properly. The way a wine is opened, served and tasted can significantly influence the experience of its aromas and flavours.

Babić is a variety with a rich structure and pronounced character, and it shows its qualities best when served at a temperature between 16 and 18 °C.

Wine that is too cold can hide its aromas and intensify the perception of tannins, while a temperature that is too high can emphasize the alcohol and reduce the wine’s freshness.

For young Babić wines, it is recommended to open the bottle about thirty minutes before serving, allowing the wine to come into contact with air and reveal its aromas.

Aged Babić and reserve wines often benefit from decanting. Pouring the wine into a decanter helps separate any sediment and allows the aromatic profile to develop further.

For serving, it is best to use larger red wine glasses, which allow the aromas to develop and provide a more enjoyable tasting experience.

Babić pairs exceptionally well with traditional Dalmatian dishes, roasted meats, lamb, steak, game and mature cheeses.

When served properly, the wine can reveal all the complexity and elegance that the winemaker intended to capture in every bottle.
